First and foremost, it's manufacturing: 80% of our products sold come directly from our factories... Shelving, including storage platforms, currently accounts for 70% of our production.
A beautiful family story
From the manufacture of wooden chairs to steel shelving, nothing predestined company founder Claude Provost to become one of France's leading shelving manufacturers.
In the early 60s, Claude Provost began manufacturing wooden furniture and set up shop in the center of Halluin, near Lille. He soon realized the potential of the storage world and created his first shelving system: "Le Protub"! It's a new boltless, screwless assembly process for which he filed a patent.
This revolutionary idea, coupled with the organization of a direct sales force, still in place today, enabled the company to grow exponentially.
Generations of shelving ranges are designed in the company's design office and manufactured in the Halluin factories.
A French group with European ambitions
Towards a leading position in Europe for the furnishing of professional spaces
Claude Provost died in 1989, and his wife Marie-Thérèse and then his two daughters took over the management of the company, continuing his successful work.
In 1997, Provost moved its head office and logistics division to Neuville-en-Ferrain (Nord).
From 2005 onwards, the company embarked on a policy of external growth in France and Europe. Provost became a European group with a wide range of expertise: storage, handling, gondolas, self-supporting buildings, signage and fittings... The diversity of the group's know-how enables it to offer a wide range of workspace solutions.
From its creation by Claude Provost in Halluin to its expansion across Europe, Provost has remained at the forefront of innovation and true to its roots and values. Today, it remains an independent, family-owned industrial group.

A direct manufacturer
Our production facilities are spread over 6 manufacturing units, 3 of which are located in France, Poland, Germany and Portugal. In all, 800 people are at your service to develop the industrial solution that meets your needs.
Over 80% of the products we sell are manufactured in our own plants. We have 10,000 standard references available from stock, and of course solutions designed and manufactured to your specifications.
To meet all your expectations, Provost has a design office staffed by 20 expert engineers and technicians who design specific products.
Provost accompanies your developments, we have the capacity to create prototypes and custom requests then to produce small made-to-measure and large series.
We regularly invest in state-of-the-art equipment (presses, roll-formers, tablet machines, paint booths, etc.) to anticipate market demands and keep pace with changing standards and customer requirements.
Origine France Garantie label
Provost is the only shelving manufacturer to hold the Origine France Garantie label for five of its shelving ranges: Prospace + light-load shelving, Proclass office shelving, Proroll mobile shelving, Prorack+ light-load workshop shelving, Propal 3 pallet shelving.
This label rewards our commitment to maintaining local, controlled French production in Halluin (59), the birthplace of Provost.
Provost's aim is to use local production facilities as a guarantee of quality and reliability, and to guarantee a high level of logistical responsiveness.

Provost is also an assembly service that accompanies you from A to Z to save you time, assemble and install your equipment. Our assembly service operates throughout France to serve you better. All our partners sign a charter to ensure a quality of service that meets Provost's high standards. Our teams make appointments to be present as soon as your products are delivered, install them according to the rules of the trade, manage the packaging and leave your site clean.
